Megan & Bryan {5.16.16}

Megan and Bryan got married on a beautiful May day at the Elm Rock Inn, in Stone Ridge, NY. With wonderful food, an incredible photographer (his blog post here), gorgeous flowers, and an amazing DJ, (not to mention the delicious gluten-free cupcakes for dessert!), we don’t think the day could have been any more perfect!

Megan and Bryan incorporated so many fun details into their special day. We loved that they used a framed “theater poster” of the two of them as their guestbook for friends and family to sign (they met on the set of a play). There was also a “message in a bottle” station where guests could leave funny notes or helpful advice for Megan and Bryan to open and read on their first anniversary. The couple also took the time to hand-paint all of the mason jars that were used in their centerpieces, and they looked fantastic!

Some other fun details:

  • Burlap pinwheels lining the aisle (also made by Megan)
  • A remembrance table in memory of people very close to the couples hearts
  • Kazoos for after the ceremony
  • An after-party bonfire, complete with smores!

It was a very special day for a very special couple; Congratulations Megan and Bryan!

Emily & Scott {7.11.15}

Emily and Scott got married at a beautiful house in Rhinebeck, NY on a perfect day in July. We loved their idea to create a photo collage that they displayed during cocktail hour! They also provided guests with an assortment of sunglasses to wear, and used window panes in place of escort cards; what fun touches!

Sure, you want to go with tradition and have a wedding cake, but why not add another dessert to make it extra special

straweberry shortcake

A nice summer treat, strawberry shortcake!

Smores

Take the campfire inside. Have your guests make their own smores.

Cotton Candy

You can do this for the kids, but I’m sure the adults will enjoy some Cotton Candy too.

Milk Shake Bar

Everyone loves a milkshake!

Have a variety of fresh made donuts. These can also work as favors too!

Think out of the box for your reception entertainment

I’ve been in the wedding planning business now for about 8 years. I have seen a lot of unique ideas as far as entertaining the guests with something other than just a DJ. Now, many people go the route of a photo booth or a candy buffet, but there are so many other ways to make your wedding stand out and make it a day for guests to remember.

I love the idea of having a professional dance team come in and teach a few dances this not only gives the kids something to do during cocktail hour, but it entertains everyone while the bridal party is out taking pictures. There is also of course, the classic first dance choreography

Another idea would  be a mobile cigar lounge , Belly Dancer, an ice carving demonstration, ice luge or sculpture, or of course fun dessert ideas.

I think the most important part about your wedding is to keep it personal and fun.

Karaoke Get Down

Our first official event was last night!!! Yeah Us!! The event took place at Buffalo Wild Wings in Kingston, NY. We were all there to celebrate the birthdays of Tony, Frank, Mala, and Sis. The night started out with country line dance lessons with Frank and the Double Dee Dancers at the VFW in Kingston and then moved on to Buffalo Wild Wings for some karaoke fun!!

www.Tonyasweetshop.com provided the fabulous cake

The centerpieces were provided by Every Little Detail.

Even though this was a small event it was so much fun for all involved. It really made me sit back on the ride home and smile. That’s  why I started this company to create a great time for all involved. Great night everyone
