This rustic wine and cheese themed wedding in Averill Park NY captured our hearts. The love and attention to detail shone through in every image captured of the day. Michelle and Adam put so much thought into all of the aspects of their wedding; from the colors of their mother’s dresses (burgundy like wine and green like the grape) all the way to the hand embossed wine crates used in the centerpieces. It was such a pleasure planning this wedding and helping to incorporate their theme into so many aspects of the wedding.
Michelle and Adam were able to incorporate so many things that were borrowed, blue, old, and new into their fabulous day.
From the top left: Adam had an old wagon that the ring bearer pulled their flower girl down the aisle in. Michelle’s veil was something new that her future mother in law made especially for her. Her brother read a tearful poem that her grandmother wrote. Michelle brought her baptism bible that her mother engraved for her. Michelle is also holding a handkerchief that belonged to her great grandmother. The blue necklace you see attached to her bouquet was a present from Adam on their very first Christmas together. Michelle’s childhood minister traveled all the way from Connecticut to officiate the ceremony.
Michelle and Adam found a way to make the ceremony their own. They blended their own wine and drank from the mixed wine to symbolize their unity.
As the guests arrived to the ceremony site Michelle had a wine box filled with pashminas that matched her colors of course. It was a good thing too as it was a colder day in October.
Once you were inside this incredibly rustic yet elegant reception site the couple had splashes of their theme everywhere. The escort card table; complete with their #hashtag; was lined with their cork handled cheese knife as well as their escort cards held in place by wine corks. Each table was decorated with hand embossed A&M wine crates and wine bottles from the couple.
Adam and Michelle went above and beyond with their creative and personalized touches.
As the ring bearer lead the guests inside with the personalized message on the back of his wagon; guests were greeted with an A&M to write a personal message to the bride and groom. While they waited there were pictures of each side of the family. On the back of the bride and grooms chairs for dinner the couple hung their gamer names! What a fun touch!
How do you finish off a wedding for the ages? With a sparkler send off of course!
